Everything is very good here, had a such great stay for one night. Our hotel is set in a central location near Grímsey island and an early ferry in Dalvík.

We arrived late at Hotel Dalvik but were warmly welcomed by a friendly staff member who quickly checked us in. Despite the late hour, they kindly offered to prepare a light meal for us, ensuring we didn't go to bed hungry. The room, though small, was clean and comfortable. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast with a variety of options to choose from. our stay at Hotel Dalvik was pleasant and I would recommend it to others.

The location is on a very scenic fjord with whales and mountains right out the door.

The hotel is well located for tourists that are looking for whale watching in the near-by fiord or sea.

The hotel provided us with an overall great experience. The location was excellent with easy access to transportation including the ferry to Grimsey. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to change our reservation due to some unforeseen issues. The room had a stunning view of the mountains and was clean and comfortable. Additionally, the breakfast selection was good, offering a range of options.

Can't fault anything about it.

Incredibly nice staff, lovely views of the mountains and fields out of town, everything is really good. The atmosphere of the hotel is quiet. It offers excellent service and wonderful breakfasts. The location is particularly good and amazing and they have parking onsite.

the hotel was located so close to many free food stands and concerts in the harbor as well as akureyri where there are more dining. got the same impeccably clean room with a shared bathroom booked online, liked that. the best part of our comfortable stay was the enjoyable and absolutely fantastic breakfast with marinated salmon and toppings and cheese. this pretty standard property had central setting in the valley.

During my recent xmas break, I had a chance to explore the beautiful town of Dalvik and stay at a hotel that had two great complementary offerings: free admission to a nearby swimming pool and a laundry service. The location of the hotel was perfect, with restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. I also loved the fact that the hotel was close to the harbor, where we could embark on enchanting whale watching tours. Plus, the staff was friendly and provided excellent service during our stay.

There were some disappointing aspects. The building seemed old and could use some renovation.

The original booking, later cancelled was for twice the price. I checked two weeks before the holiday and rebooked it at 70 pounds a night. Why was it so expensive to book 3 months in advance?

The recently remodeled hotel was very nice with a super view.

The hotel had not fully opened for the summer and we had to phone the manager to open it up. Once in, the service was very fine.

Great weekend stay in a charming place! Loved the breakfast, so delicious, with lots of options to choose from, even chocolate cake! Access to the nearby swimming pool was also a big plus, perfect for starting the day. The surrounding open space was so peaceful and enjoyable for a morning walk.

only problem is there is no elevator and we were on the second floor which made it difficult to bring up the suitcases .
